Old Hickory and Carthage, TN Age 79 October 19, 2011 He was also lovingly nicknamed and known as "Hairy" by his Ford Glass Plant co-workers. He was a member of the UAW Local #737 and a member of the Old Hickory Church of Christ. Preceded in death by his father, Bennie Franklin Williams; his mother, Carrie Olivia Tipton; sister, Dorothy Mooney. Ernest is survived by daughter, Connie Gayle Davis (James); two sons, Larry Dale Williams (Susan) and Jonney Wayne Williams (Barbara); brother, Jerry Williams ('58); three sisters, Mary Ann Hackett ('54), Marylin Elkins ('52) (Jack) and Diane Easterwood ('67); four grandchildren; five great grandchildren. Friends and Family will serve as Pallbearers. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Friday, October 21, 2011 at the Phillips-Robinson Hadley Chapel in Old Hickory with Bro. Don Loftis officiating. Burial will follow at the Pulley Family Cemetery.
