| Wesley C. "Boots" Rankin (Class of 1948) Murfreesboro, TN Age 83 February 27, 2011 Mr. Rankin was a native of Trousdale County and was the son of the late James W. and Emma Eller Rankin. Funeral services will be 9:00AM Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Reverend Jason Morrison will officiate. Burial will be in the Middle TN. State Veterans Cemetery. There will be a Masonic Service at 7:00 PM Monday following the visitation. Mr. Rankin is survived by his wife of 62 years, Mildred Moore Rankin; daughters, Brenda Rankin of Murfreesboro, Kathy Edwards and her husband Steve of Hendersonville and Sandy Medlin and her husband Galen of Murfreesboro; grandchildren, Chris and Cortney Riley, David Edwards, Shelley English, Shane Medlin, and Beth Wheeler; great grandchildren, Dwane and Alex Riley, Jack English, Wesley Birdwell, Madlin and Carson Wheeler. Mr. Rankin was a member of Westwood Baptist Church and was a 1948 graduate of DuPont High School. He was employed by Ford Glass for 32 years. He was a Mason, Past Worshipful Master of Ashland City Lodge and a member of the Scottish Rite. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to St. Clair Adult Day Center in memory of Mr. Rankin. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. 893-5151.
