She was born on June 10, 1930, in Old Hickory, Tenn., daughter of the late Thomas and Lorene (Litton) Ladd. She married Duane Pollock on Dec. 3, 1955, n Springfield, Tenn. After Duane was discharged from the service, they moved back to Iron Mountain in 1957. Sue first worked as a credit manager for Montgomery Ward and then as a receptionist for the Hanna Mining Co. at the Groveland Mine. She also was employed as a bookkeeper by Haelterman Beer Distributing in Norway, transferring to Four Seasons Distributing where she retired from there in 1992. She was a member of the Balsam Street Christian Church. She loved reading and doing crossword puzzles. Sue is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Duane Pollock of Iron Mountain; a brother, John (Mary) Ladd ('65) of Hendersonville, Tenn.; a brother-in-law, Phil Spears ('53) of Madison, Tenn.; three sisters-in-law, Arlene Showinski of Gaylord, Mich., Elaine Cheney of Kingsford and Joanne Ritt of Westfield, Wis.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Ladd and a sister, Ruth Ann Spears. A memorial and graveside service will be held at a later date and announced at that time. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established in her memory to the Balsam Street Christian Church.
