State Representative Turner and Councilman Darren Jernigan will be hosting a meeting concerning the former Lakewood park that has now been turned over to Metro. The Parks Department will make a presentation on creating a “Friends of” group and to discuss the current status of the park.

The Old Hickory Bunch meets for lunch on the second Monday of each month at Ryan's Grill in Rivergate at 11:00 a.m. The purpose of The Old Hickory Bunch is to maintain and renew the friendships developed while growing up or working together in Old Hickory. Anyone who went to school, worked, or ever lived in or around Old Hickory can join. Everyone agrees what fun it is to stay in touch, talk about old times, and catch up on whats going on now.

The Girls Club was formed in 1999 and includes ladies from the Old Hickory area. The "girls" meet for lunch on the third Wednesday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at the Old Hickory Country Club. Like their counterpart, The Old Hickory Bunch, anyone who went to school, worked, or ever lived in or around Old Hickory can join. For more information, contact Sandra Cartwright Eddins ('56).

The Old Hickory Area Chamber of Commerce was formed in 1991 and serves business and individual members throughout the Old Hickory, Tennessee area. The Chamber hosts a monthly luncheon meeting at 11:30 a.m. on the first Tuesday of each month at the Old Hickory Country Club. The cost of the lunch is $10.00, and they invite you to attend.
