Lakewood Community Development
The City of Lakewood is working on plans to redevelop the area once known as Dupontonia. We have a preview of the conceptual master plan which consists of 3 phases. Phase 1 will take place on the southwest side of Old Hickory Boulevard along Park Circle with multi-family town homes and condominiums along with single family homes being developed. Phase 2 will be the redevelopment of the area on the northwest side. This will include a pedestrian mall with retail stores, condominiums, single-family homes, marina waterfront park and restaurant, and a new city hall. Phase 3 will take in the area from Hurst Drive southwest between the golf course and the Cumberland River.
