It became a senior high school with grades 10 through 12 in 1967 before it was destroyed by fire in November of the same year. | The high school gymnasium escaped the school building fire and continues to stand today. |
 |  | | The Old Hickory Post Office had its beginning in 1918 with one clerk, $100 worth of stamps and one money order book. It was moved several times during World War I, and finally moved into a new structure in 1935 where it remains today. | This view shows the Village Shopping Center near completion. It opened in 1949 at a construction cost of $550,000. |
